Facilities

Middlesbrough College is now at its new £75 million home on the exclusive Middlehaven development in Middlesbrough. Within the College is a two court sports hall, state of the art fitness suite and spa centre.

Students on the basketball academy will also have access to physiotherapy, conditioning programmes and nutritional advice to ensure athletes are in peak condition.

James Thomson, Head Coach
James is head of Game Time and Middlesbrough Lions. He is one of the leading figures in basketball in the area and is a member of the executive committee for the Teesside Basketball League. James recently revamped the Cleveland County schools basketball league and the renamed Tees Schools League has received recognition around the country as one of the best and most promoted schools sports leagues in the UK.

This year James established a Tees College League with 11 local colleges competing for honours.

These leagues provide the foundations for us to develop and prepare enthusiasts at a young age for future enrolment to the college basketball academy. We now have in place a production line for basketball development which will hopefully produce some of the best players in the country. added Coach Thomson
