Relax with your feet shoulder width apart.

Have your shooting hand on top of the ball and your guiding hand at the side.

Look at the basket.

Raise the ball so that your shooting arm is now in an "L" shape.

The ball should be just in front of your head, allowing you to still see the basket.

Your guiding hand remains at the side until after the release.

Straighten your shooting arm and flick your wrist to release the ball.

Moving from bended legs you will raise onto your toes to generate power.

Depending on how far from the basket you may need to jump.

"Good shooting develops from practice. When you develop the technique of shooting,
shoot the same way every time, and practice as much as you can."
