Game Time Photography Policy

Within Game Time we actively take photographs of the sessions, activity and events we host. There is nothing more satisfying to players young and old, than receiving recognition for their achievements through the photographs we publish or the articles we produce. These methods can also be powerful tools in driving our young talent forward. The potential to be rewarded is a powerful incentive. In addition to this it is also important that as a club we are able to promote our activities and events as much as possible to attract new players, raise the profile of the organisation, its clubs and the game in general and to also increase the potential of attracting sponsorship.

Game Time has one of the best and most in depth basketball related web sites in the UK, which is why it is so popular. We want to keep the content up to date and exciting to view.

We are also well aware of the potential risks regarding images and details of young people under the age of 18 on websites or in the local media. There are individuals in our society whose sole aim is to prey on young and vulnerable people and we aim  to protect our members as best as we possibly can.

At any event, the details of any photographer are available upon request. Photographs and details will only be used for the sole purpose of promoting the sporting activity or event.

All of our young participants under the age of 18 are requested to complete a parental permission form to allow photography of the individual. If you have not yet signed a form, please request one.

Guidelines for Parents & Spectators

  • Spectators are asked to register at an event if they wish to use photographic equipment.

  • Athletes and parents should report any concerns regarding photography or individuals immediately to the organiser.

  • Concerns regarding inappropriate or intrusive photography should be reported to the event organiser or official and recorded in the same manner as any other child protection concern.

  • Notify organiser with details of any players who are NOT allowed to be photographed, so that any images containing them can be deleted. In  games players numbers will suffice.
